Horizontal and Vertical Milling Capabilities
Toolcraft’s horizontal and vertical CNC milling machines from compact machines to horizontal boring bars capable of handling parts up to 44,000 lbs and a work envelope of 118 x 90 x 90. Our machines feature advanced tool presetting technology to ensure accurate tool data before machining begins, minimizing defects and improving precision. Our dedication to frequent machine monitoring combined with scheduled preventative maintenance allows us to machine to accuracies that our competitors cannot. Additionally, our CMM inspection services cover our entire machining envelope for rigorous quality control.
We machine everything from common alloys such as A36, A572, A633 to Super Alloys such as Monel K500, Titanium, and Inconel. No matter what it is – forging, casting or fabrication – we have the people and experience to figure out your challenges and get it done.
Our Horizontal and Vertical Milling Advantages
Size Range
Toolcraft offers both horizontal and vertical CNC milling machines from small parts to handling large parts up to 44,000 lbs and a work envelope of 118” x 90 x 90.
Precision and Accuracy
When it comes to accuracy, properly maintaining machines is key for both horizontal and vertical milling machines. We frequently perform our own Renishaw ball bar tests to ensure they are performing optimally.
4th Axis Positioning
Horizontal CNC milling machines are often more efficient for long, slender parts, while vertical CNC milling machines excel at handling heavy, large, or awkward workpieces. Our machines feature a fourth axis with a max swing of 118”, allowing for greater versatility in part processing.
Flexibility
Our range of equipment combines high rigidity and torque with precision positioning that allow us to efficiently remove large amounts of material quickly and precisely finish medium to large components from any angle of attack.
